Mindful365 is a new program, distributed through both iOS/Android, that helps boost your spirit one day at a time. It provides you with a daily practice (i.e. a short piece of content) to focus on. This can be a question to ask, an idea to contemplate, an emotion to focus on or let go of or an action to take. Basically it allows you to do one small thing each day to know more about yourself. It focuses on all key areas of life, health, family, career, finances, relationships, friendships, Higher Purpose and happiness.
Once you have signed up via the iTunes/Play store for the app, you will receive a practice every morning at the time you choose. Pretty simple!
You can then also take notes on any insights or observations that show up for you.
You can set a reminder as well, so that later on in the day, we will let you know its time to remember the day’s practice.
First thing in the morning, you will receive a few paragraphs of content with a particular suggestion to be mindful for that day. It’s short and powerful. Try not to skip any day as there is an order to how we send the content and we don’t want you to miss anything important.
Your role is to be committed to reading the content and letting it stay with you throughout the day. We encourage you to take notes and keep track of what comes up for you. And set the reminder function so you can choose when to receive the practice again during the day, when things get busy!
Mindful365 is for anyone that is committed to live consciously, to do some inner work and to think differently about life and themselves. The content is simple and yet profound. It will be of great benefit for people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of interest in personal growth. Whether you are a single mother, a CEO, a dedicated spiritual raving fan, a student or an entrepreneur, this content will be helpful.
The content is all original and created in-house. The content comes from decades of research in the fields of personal development and the spiritual path.
No, this is not based on any specific religion or religious principles. It does not in any way conflict with any religious teachings either, as the content is based on universal principles and personal growth.
Mindfulness is often associated with Buddhism and meditation. Mindful365 is not based on any specific Buddhist teachings however. The principles of love, compassion, patience, meditation etc. are certainly aligned with what our content is about.
The app is priced at $7.99. This covers all the research and development that goes into delivering the best content we can find. Its about 2 cents a day to give you an idea. We do hope you see this as a valuable investment.
If you want to gift them the app on the iTunes store – the same way you would gift someone a movie or a song. Click on the arrow next to ‘Buy’ in the App store and click on ‘Gift this App’ and follow the instructions.
You can get the Mindful365 app from the app store on iTunes/Play store.
Yes absolutely. Go over to the app store on iTunes and select iPad.
To use Mindful365 in an optimal way, you will need an iOS device such as an iPhone or an iPod Touch or iPad – it is best to have the iOS updated to ensure it works properly. It also works on all Android phones.
On the app, go to the Settings menu, the symbol that looks like a circle with jagged edges. There, you will see Receive daily Reminders- slide it to ON. Below that, choose whatever time you want the Reminder to be for. Your phone will send you a message to help you be mindful again, in the midst of your distractions.
We allow you to choose the times you want to receive the app, both in the morning at a suitable time (not everyone wakes up at the same time!) and later on in the day, when distractions are high!
The alarm is the same as the Reminder function. (See question and answer above to set this up.) To change the reminder time, go to settings and choose the two reminder times for when you will receive a Mindful reminder of the days practice.
If you have installed the app, on the Settings menu, the symbol that looks like a circle with jagged edges, you will see a choice to Receive practice by email. Slide this to ON. You will then be receiving the same content as you get on the app, also via email, so as to be sure you are not missing it.
On the app, at the top of each practice, you will see a button saying Notes. Click on this and your regular keyboard will appear. You can sync your notes with our servers and also download them later if you need them. These are private of course, but we are not responsible for their safe keeping, if anything were to happen.
We encourage you to take notes to keep a record of your journey to mindfulness. It’s helpful to write what is coming up as you contemplate the day’s practice. Just a few ideas and thoughts allow you to perhaps see things differently. It helps your commitment level stay high.
For those of you working on the practice primarily via email, we encourage you to get a dedicated journal.
Yes. Your Notes are private.
We realize that sometimes you go on holiday or want a long weekend, or a break from technology and thought it might be useful to be able to temporarily pause the Mindful practices for a few days. On the Settings menu, the symbol that looks like a circle with the jagged edges, slide the Pause all Practices to OFF. Be sure to go back and slide it to ON again when you return.
It’s a great idea to start Mindful365 at the same time as your friends so that you will all be on the same page and receiving the same great content daily. This allows you to share and discuss any insights or challenges you might be facing together. We have found that people always prefer doing this sort of journey with someone else.
The best way to share this, is to email/phone/text them and let them know to download the app on the same day as you at www.mindful365.com
Check the following:
Are you accessing itunes/play store from your phone?
Do you have an iphone 3,4,4S or 5, 6, 7 ipod touch?
Do you have a smart Android phone?
If the situation persists, please send an email to:
firstname.lastname@example.org with the error message and any details and we will sort you out.
On the Settings menu, make sure that the Reminder button is set to ON. Also, please make sure that you have chosen a time for the reminder below, where you see the clock.
If the problem persists, please send an email to email@example.com
If you have installed the app, on the Settings menu, make sure that the Receive Daily Email button is set to ON.
If the problem persists, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you don’t want to hear the first reminder you can change your notification settings. To do this go to:
Settings > Notifications > Mindful365 > turn sounds to “Off”.
On the Settings menu, change the time on the clock to something during the day that is more convenient for your routine.
Once you have read the daily practice, at the top of the screen, there is a Notes button. Click on this and start typing away. Your Notes will then be saved in the main Notes area automatically (on the nav bar).
On the nav bar, look for the Notes function. If you click on this, your Notes are arranged according to the Practices under which you made Notes.
You need to be logged into these sites for you to be able to share. On Android, it is not possible the share the whole day’s practice, only the title and website. On iPhone, it is.
If this doesn’t work, please send us an email to email@example.com, with the error message you are receiving and we will troubleshoot this.
On your phone, you delete it as you would any other app – hold it down until all the icons shake and appear with a small ‘x’ on it – hit the ‘x’ and it is deleted. Once this is done, you cannot re-install it.
You can unsubscribe from the emails by going to the Settings menu and turning Receive practice via Email OFF.
If you want to contact us before you do so to share any questions or concerns, please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
If your phone was synched with your iTunes/Play store, when you connect your new phone, all the apps you had will automatically be loaded and transferred once again. When you click on the app, you will the taken to the homescreen where you will enter your email and password. This will enable us to send you the practices according to when you last received them.
If you have any trouble, please send us an email to email@example.com
Please send us a message using the Contact us form and we will change it for you.
Mindful costs a mere $7.99 for a year of incredible content. That’s about 2 cents a day. We have spent years gathering this valuable content and hope you see this is a worthwhile investment.
If you really cannot afford this small fee, and are sincerely interested in getting the content or app, please send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) explaining your situation, and we will do our best to send it to you for free.
While sitting in a retreat, Ariane heard one of her teachers say, “Do you have any idea how different your life would be if you could only be mindful 5 minutes a day?” And that’s how the idea was born.
There are a lot of personal growth tools/ books/ CD’s/ seminars out there, and it can get pretty overwhelming when you want to do some work on yourself. We wanted to create something that we would use – it would be something that we could spend a few minutes each day, looking at our ‘stuff’. Either way, it would allow us to make progress bit by bit. We want to give you an alternative to reading a book that tells you to change everything about your life, or paying $1000 for a 4 day seminar that might be amazing and also overwhelming, so you forget it all 3 days afterwards.
In the midst of living in a major city (NYC and Cape Town for us), being bombarded by distractions and ways life pulls you off center, we wanted a way to focus the mind on something specific and conscious during each day. Yoga, meditation etc are great, but we wanted something to help really look deeply at our patterns, beliefs, ideas about life, ourselves, money, love, work etc in order to eventually live free from the mind’s limitations and from suffering.
We are a small team, starting with Ariane and Alfie who wanted to create something that made a difference and would help them boost their spirits! We of course have the help of great developers, designers and friends. See the team info for more details.
